We are currently looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join our team based in Newcastle to support our continued business success and growth.   

About the role 

• Deliver civil engineering in line with project requirements, Ausenco’s engineering standards and the relevant statutory requirements.
• Design solutions for civil aspects of our projects including bulk earthworks, dams and drainage, pipeline alignments, roadways and associated infrastructure in remote and challenging terrain.
• Ensure that civil design is delivered on time and according to the required standard on each project or study.
• Communicate effectively with clients and project team members to identify needs and evaluate alternative solutions.
• Be involved in the preparation of engineering proposals and monitor budgets, staying within the assigned budget and report any discrepancies.

About you 

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering.
• Accreditation as a Chartered Engineering (or equivalent) or ability to obtain.
• Proven experience in Earthworks, Roadworks, Dam and Drainage design engineering in a relevant industry, e.g. mining, mineral processing, materials handling, and heavy industrial.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, 12D, or Civil 3d.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Well-developed communication skills both written and oral.
• Ability to work autonomously and effectively, interfacing with team based both locally and interstate.
• Proven ability to manage, motivate and influence employees at all levels.
• Commitment to mentoring and coaching of personnel.
• Willingness to travel highly desirable.
