Our team in Brazil is growing, we are currently recruiting for a Senior Geotechnical Designer to join our Consulting Business line in the in Belo Horizonte office.

About the role:

• Lead the development and review of complex geotechnical design drawings for mining and civil infrastructure projects, including tailings storage facilities (TSFs), mining dams, waste rock piles, foundations, and large-scale earthworks.
• Translate advanced geotechnical concepts, analyses, and design criteria into high-quality, construction-ready drawings, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and intermediate designers, supporting quality, efficiency, and consistency across deliverables.
• Coordinate closely with geotechnical engineers, dam safety specialists, mining engineers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated, safe, and constructable designs.
• Oversee drawing quality control, manage design revisions, and ensure proper implementation of document control and drafting best practices throughout the project lifecycle.

About you:

• Extensive experience in technical drafting and design within geotechnical and/or mining projects
• Professional certification, or eligibility toward professional registration, is strongly preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, with strong capability in producing and reviewing complex geotechnical and mining design drawings.
• In-depth understanding of geotechnical engineering principles applied to embankments, slopes, foundations, and containment systems such as TSFs and mining dams.
• Ability to interpret and apply geotechnical analyses, stability assessments, design reports, and construction methodologies into practical design outputs.
• Comprehensive knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and dam safety guidelines applicable to mining infrastructure.
• Proven ability to lead drafting efforts, enforce quality standards, and coordinate across disciplines in large, multidisciplinary projects.
