Our team is growing, we are currently recruiting for a Lead Civil Designer to join our team in our Brisbane office.

About the role 

• Provide process plant platform, access road, drainage and associated infrastructure design knowledge and supervision of civil project design team while working on deliverables.
• Prepare, review and sign off on layouts and detail drawings in line with project requirements.
• Deliver design drafting according to required project timeframes and standards by coordinating and supervising project members, reviewing deliverables and preparing design and detail drawings in line with requirements.
• Plan, organize and coordinate technical aspects of one or more projects.
• Maintain consistent design drafting standards across projects by adhering to Ausenco design drafting standards and reviewing design drafting produced by less experienced Designers.
• Overcome design/schedule issues by maintaining an overview of activity, regularly communicating with the Lead Civil Engineer and addressing issues in a timely manner.
• Commitment to mentoring and supporting less experienced Designers.

About you 

• A minimum of 10 years experience in Earthworks, Roadworks, and Drainage design in a relevant industry
• Advanced diploma or equivalent in Engineering desirable.    
• Extensive experience in AutoCAD, 12D and/or Civil 3d is mandatory.  
• Well developed written and oral communication skills 
• Multi-disciplinary engineering knowledge and experience
• Some experience developing junior and intermediate Design staff
• Ability to think laterally to overcome issues
• Able to work and communicate in a team environment
