Our team is growing, we are currently recruiting for a Lead Civil Designer to join our team in our Brisbane office.
About the role
Provide process plant platform, access road, drainage and associated infrastructure design knowledge and supervision of civil project design team while working on deliverables.
Prepare, review and sign off on layouts and detail drawings in line with project requirements.
Deliver design drafting according to required project timeframes and standards by coordinating and supervising project members, reviewing deliverables and preparing design and detail drawings in line with requirements.
Plan, organize and coordinate technical aspects of one or more projects.
Maintain consistent design drafting standards across projects by adhering to Ausenco design drafting standards and reviewing design drafting produced by less experienced Designers.
Overcome design/schedule issues by maintaining an overview of activity, regularly communicating with the Lead Civil Engineer and addressing issues in a timely manner.
Commitment to mentoring and supporting less experienced Designers.
About you
A minimum of 10 years experience in Earthworks, Roadworks, and Drainage design in a relevant industry
Advanced diploma or equivalent in Engineering desirable.
Extensive experience in AutoCAD, 12D and/or Civil 3d is mandatory.
Well developed written and oral communication skills
Multi-disciplinary engineering knowledge and experience
Some experience developing junior and intermediate Design staff
Ability to think laterally to overcome issues
Able to work and communicate in a team environment
