Construction Project Engineer

Our team in Canada is growing, we are currently recruiting for a Construction Project Engineer to join our Minerals and Metals business line in the Vancouver office.

About the Role

  • Collaborate in the preparation and facilitation of constructability workshops and reports during study phases, detailed engineering, and throughout project execution.
  • Strong expertise in the development of construction execution schedules by defining logical work sequencing.
  • Support the development of contract packages and contribute to tendering processes across various project phases, including feasibility studies and execution stages.
  • Participate in 3D model reviews and constructability walkthroughs to provide early input on construction feasibility.
  • Support the definition and breakdown of Construction Work Packages (CWPs) aligned with the WBS and contracting strategy.
  • Provide technical input for construction quantities, cost alignment, and schedule logic.
  • Collaborate with planners and estimators to support quantity take-offs and construction metrics.
  • Collaborate in the preparation of Project and Construction Execution Plans.

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the execution of mining or industrial projects (preferred).
  • Solid understanding of brownfield and greenfield construction environments, including associated execution constraints and interface challenges.
  • Proven involvement in the development of Project Execution Plans (PEP) and Construction Execution Plans (CEP).
  • Knowledge of constructability principles and construction methodologies.
  • Proficient in scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
  • Mandatory hands-on experience with Navisworks Manage for model review and clash detection.

Salary range: $95,000 - $120,000 annually

Expected Salary: Variation in salary is determined by factors such as qualifications, relevant years of experience, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
