We are currently looking for a Designer (Engineering Drafting) to join our team based in our Newcastle office to support recent business success and growth. 

About the role 

• Produce drafting deliverables - 3D models and design/detail drawings on time and in line with current standards and drawing practices. 
• Liaise with engineers and senior designers for direction, specifications and feedback. 
• Demonstrate initiative in carrying out tasks independently and offering design suggestions. 

About you 

• Technical diploma or equivalent in Engineering Design/Drafting. 
• Minimum 3-5 years progressive design drafting experience, ideally within the mining and mineral processing industry.
• Preparedness to undertake site visits
• Solid understanding of discipline specific software, ideally competency in Autocad, Advance Steel, Plant 3D and Navisworks. Experience with SmartPlant highly desirable but not essential. 
• Proven attention to detail. 
• Strong analytical skills. 
• Written and oral communication skills. 
• Commitment and enthusiasm for learning. 
• Able to work and communicate in a team environment. 

This role will be offer as a permanent full-time role, salary banding - $70,000 - $90,000 plus superannuation.
