Mechanical Designers (Junior / Intermediate) - Burlington

Our team in Canada is growing, we are currently recruiting for Mechanical Designers (Junior / Intermediate) to join the Team at our Burlington Office.

About the role

  • Prepare high level 2D and 3D models of mineral processing equipment such as belt conveyors, tanks, pumps, crushers, mills, etc.
  • Under the supervision of a Senior, prepare mechanical layout, conceptual and detail drawings in line with project requirements.
  • Interface with other disciplines (Structural, process, layout, mechanical, piping, electrical) to ensure mechanical drawings incorporated other discipline requirements.
  • Liaise with engineers for direction, specifications and feedback
  • Maintain consistent design drafting standards across projects.

About you: 

  • Advanced diploma or equivalent in mechanical engineering technology
  • 1-8 years relevant experience in Mechanical design
  • Experience in the use of Autocad 2D and 3D, Inventor (or equivalents such as Solidworks, Solid Edge, etc.).
  • Experience in Mechanical Layout and design drafting of Mineral Processing Plants within a large project, multidisciplinary EPC/EPCM environment will be an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of multi-functional project teams is a must
  • Well-developed written and oral skills
  • Commitment and enthusiasm for learning
