Our team in Brazil is growing, we are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer, Senior to join our Minerals & Metals Business line in the in Belo Horizonte - MG office.
About the role:
Lead and develop conceptual and basic engineering projects, working collaboratively to ensure and maintain the flow of essential information with peer departments;
Seek technical solutions for engineering development and the application of new tools and technologies;
Develop strategic studies that require agility in evaluating alternatives, including mines, plants, railways, and ports;
Act as a liaison between the engineering team, consultants, and international specialists to validate and/or critique technical solutions aimed at risk mitigation, safety, CapEx reduction, and project implementation timelines;
Review projects and technical documentation to ensure quality and compliance with deadlines;
Monitor and work alongside project implementation areas, capturing lessons learned to optimize future projects.
About you:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering
10 years of experience
Strong leadership, supervision, and team management skills;
Experience in the development and implementation of large-scale industrial projects;
Knowledge of processes and technologies applied in iron, gold, and copper mining projects;
Experience in construction, assembly, and service contracting;
Proficiency in software and equipment sizing for bulk material handling and transportation, as well as heavy boilerwork calculations;
Strong communication skills and articulate demeanor.
