We’re looking for a Site Project Directors for either our Toronto or Burlington offices. For the right person, we are open to other locations in Canada.

Ideally, you bring EPCM project leadership experience in remote northern Canada, with a proven track record of overcoming complex logistical challenges. Expertise in rail and port infrastructure, alongside open-pit mining and mineral processing, would be highly beneficial.

About the role

  • Lead by example in promoting the health, safety, and wellbeing of Ausenco’s workforce and host communities, while driving environmental and community management goals with a clear commitment to safety and sustainability.
  • Drive a strong safety culture by ensuring all incidents and near misses are reported, investigated, and addressed. Maintain safe practices and contribute to the development of the health and safety management system.
  • Lead the project to achieve goals and objectives on time and within scope, driving progress while upholding the Ausenco standard and aligning with stakeholder expectations and management guidelines.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies to ensure deliverables stay on-time, on-target, and on-budget, while leading the identification and mitigation of risks and barriers through active collaboration with project teams and key stakeholders.
  • Provide hands-on leadership by overseeing the project plan, deliverables, dependencies, and outcomes, while defining and implementing proactive change management strategies throughout the project lifecycle to ensure successful execution.
  • Define the project organizational structure with clear roles and responsibilities to ensure seamless coordination, while fostering balanced, productive teams through leadership, guidance, and a collaborative spirit aligned with Ausenco's core values.
  • Drive the financial, commercial, and quality performance of the project, ensuring targets are met, value is maximized, and high standards are maintained throughout.

 About you

  • Degree in Engineering or Construction Management combined with over 20 years of proven project execution experience with an EPC/EPCM firm or consultant.
  • Successfully delivered multiple large EPCM projects valued at over USD 1.0 billion, consistently achieving on-time, on-scope, and on-budget outcomes.
  • Relationship-driven project leader known for building strategic client partnerships and leading cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact solutions that align with client and business goals.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a proven ability to secure new project opportunities while deepening relationships with existing clients.
  • Creative and solutions-oriented, with the ability to influence outcomes and a track record of meeting critical deadlines in complex and rapidly changing project settings.
