Our team in the US is growing. We are currently recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Designer to join our Minerals & Metals Business line in the Tucson office. This is your opportunity to be part of an exciting execution-phase project in the North American mining industry. You'll play a key role in critical project phases, from Basic Engineering and Detailed Engineering to Construction, gaining hands-on experience across a variety of commodities. About the Role

• Prepare mechanical layout detail designs and drawings in line with project design requirements for various areas from the following list:

• • Crushing and reclaim, including conveyor set out and detailing
  • Grinding circuit, including platework detailing
  • Flotation and regrind, including the associated reagents and air services
  • Concentrate filtration and handling
  • CIP and POX
  • Tails thickening

• Work in SmartPlant model environment
• Deliver design drafting according to project design requirements as well as the defined regulations, codes, and standards.
• Maintain consistent design drafting standards across project areas by communicating expectations and holding project members to account for standards. ‘
• Facilitate and ensure interdisciplinary co-ordination when developing the model

About You

• Mechanical Engineering Technician’s diploma or equivalent
• 10-15 years’ experience with a minimum of 5 years in the layout of mineral processing plants in a multidisciplinary EPC/EPCM environment.
• Working knowledge of SmartPlant an asset.

• Able to use vendor data, drawings and information to develop and verify the model.

• Understanding of industry regulatory codes and standards

• Excellent communication skills
