We have an exciting opportunity for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to support hiring for Minerals & Metals.   You are an agile, strong communicator, skilled at understanding the unique needs of both candidates and business leaders.

This role can be based in of Ausenco’s Canadian or US offices (with flexibility to work some days from home). This is a casual position to support upcoming project hiring. While the hours may vary, we anticipate it being full-time for the next six months. After that, the role may shift to a more ad hoc basis depending on project needs.

About the role

  • Delivering an outstanding end to end recruitment process by coordinating the full-cycle recruitment process, from preparing job postings, candidate sourcing, screening applications to short-list, participating in interviews, conducting references/background checks and extending offers to candidates.
  • Assisting with the development of best-in-class talent acquisition strategy and processes to ensure all new talent meets the technical as well as cultural fit with Ausenco and our core values.
  • Generating external talent pipelines; proactively sourcing for high-quality candidates and maintaining relationships with talent for future opportunities.
  • Researching and recommending new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting.
  • Using social and professional networking sites to identify and source candidates.

About you

  • Three plus years’ full cycle recruiting experience, including experience in recruiting technical engineering roles, ideally within a mining, construction, or consulting engineering environment.
  • Strong relationship building skills (internal and external), highly flexible, proactive and results oriented.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and requisitions.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of information, and exercise good judgment and discretion in handling and disseminating information.
  • Analytical and conceptual thinking – demonstrated use of logic and reason as well as creative and strategic thinking.
  • Demonstrated capacity for attention to detail and accuracy of work.
  • Ability to work collaboratively or independently as required.
  • Bonus points if you speak Spanish!
