Our team is growing, we are currently recruiting for a Senior Piping Designer to join our team in our Brisbane office.
About the role
Deliver feasibility through detailed design of slurry pipelines, pumping stations, reagents and solution piping and cross-country pipelines.
Perform detailed checking of others' design work.
Responsibility will vary according to project requirements. May work independently, as a member of a team or as a team leader.
Ensure that objectives related to quality, quantity, cost and scheduling are met.
Present deliverable plans according to the established deadlines, develop the design and 3D routing according to the project's technical standards and specifications, review in detail their deliverable plans before submitting them to their supervisor.
Maintain constant coordination with the designers and engineers of the project team. Update and make compatible the deliverables that are affected by improvements or modifications in the design. Verify interferences between pipeline, roads and facilities.
Archive and update project technical documents such as standards, vendor information, check list, history file.
About you
Technical Design degree or equivalent.
Detailed knowledge of piping systems, components and hardware.
Knowledge of ASME B16 and B31 standards.
Experience in station piping design, including P&IDs, isometrics, layouts, detail drawings and material take-offs.
Knowledge of Plant 3D, Advance Steel and S3D software desirable.
Minimum 8 years of experience, experience in development and development of pipe drawings, experience in multidisciplinary projects, skills for development of pipe routing in 3D, experience in the development of pipe layouts and detail.
Experience in design in EPCM/EPC projects.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
